4th Annual Neighborhood Garage Sale
4th Annual Neighborhood Garage Sale The 4th Annual PLBC Garage Sales were held on July 14, 15 and 16. An estimated 20 families participated. Friday was the busiest day for sellers, and Saturday was fairly busy as well. Sunday was quiet. Next year we may limit it to just Friday and Saturday. It was a great opportunity for neighbors to visit with each other and catch up, and get some treasures in the process. Had a lot of people from outside of Palmer Lake show up as well. Looking forward to doing it again next year!
National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live. National Night Out enhances the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community. Furthermore, it provides a great opportunity to bring police and neighbors together under positive circumstances.
This year’s National Night Out was a great success! Lots of neighbors showed up. There was a raffle for 3 nice emergency bags, all donated by Peninsula Light. Also lots of emergency preparedness reading material, and of course fun goodies to take home! Everyone enjoyed a hot dog, cake, and each other’s company! We even had a brief visit from our local sheriff Officer Shanks! A big thank you to everyone that helped make Palmer Lakes 2017 National Night Out successful!
